Memorial Day: A Day of Gratitude & Remembrance

Everything we do at EnergyUnited stems from the love we have for our communities, our state and our country. We are passionate about providing reliable energy services, giving back to our neighbors and working every day to build a sustainable future.

On Memorial Day of each year, we are reminded that none of it would be possible without the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Please join us on May 28th in honoring those throughout our footprint, and the country, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. All EnergyUnited offices will be closed in observance.

If your plans for the holiday include the great outdoors and some great American food, remember these four safety tips for operating your propane grill.

FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY

Never use propane grills indoors or under low awnings. Flames could ignite furniture, walls and other flammable materials nearby.

GRILLING, NOT HEATING

Never use a propane cooking appliance as a heater. EnergyUnited sells a wide variety of products specifically designed to provide propane heat. Check them out here.

TAKE YOUR TANK WITH YOU

Never leave a portable propane tank in a closed vehicle. High temperatures can cause damage to the tank or a dangerous fire.

BEWARE OF GAS SMELL

If you smell gas, immediately extinguish the flames. Turn off the gas supply of your propane tank if it is safe to do so. Then call EnergyUnited at 855-266-5404 for emergency assistance.
