Small Change: Big Generosity

Operation Round-Up makes giving back to the community easy, and affordable. See how this simple gesture makes for profound charity.

At EnergyUnited, members and owners are one in the same. Why? Because we’re a not-for-profit electric cooperative (keyword: cooperative)—and the largest in the great state of North Carolina at that. With our makeup in mind, it’s no wonder we like to provide members like you with opportunities to give back in cooperative ways as well.

Operation Round-Up is a program that allows electric members to round up their monthly electric bills to the next whole dollar amount. The extra pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters then flow into the EnergyUnited Foundation and are used to assist worthy community organizations, as well as fellow members who have fallen on hard times.

Monthly donations can range from a penny to 99 cents; on average, individual donations amount to about six dollars a year. The amount donated is indicated on a member’s monthly electric bill, with the annual contributions shown on the members’ January bill. If giving back is in your budget this year, and “members helping members” is a core value you support, then give us a call. We’ll help you make your change matter.
