Under this payment plan, members can take the worry and uncertainty out of fluctuating electric bills by paying the same amount each month. Those members with residential accounts who have at least 12 months of billing history at their current location are eligible to enroll in the Budget Billing Plan. The monthly payment amount is computed from the average of the last 12 months' usage. We perform an annual recalculation of these payments in May of each year with the new payment amounts reflected on the June bills. Any credit or debit balances at the time of recalculation is equalized over the next 12 months. In addition, periodic reviews are often conducted during the plan year for those accounts with large credit or debit balances, and these reviews could result in a change in the monthly payment amount at a time other than the annual recalculation.
In order to remain on the Budget Billing Plan, the monthly payment must be paid when due. Failure to pay on or before the due date will automatically remove your account from this plan.
You can sign up for the Budget Billing Plan by logging in at the Account Information page and selecting the "Budget Billing" button on the left. This feature will allow you to obtain a quote for your monthly payment amount. You will then be given the option to establish the plan or cancel the request.
