2024 Touchstone Energy Sports Camps

The application period for our 2024 Touchstone Energy Sports Camp program is closed. EnergyUnited will accept applications for the 2025 Touchstone Energy Sports Camp program beginning January 1, 2025.

Each year, EnergyUnited selects one girl and one boy to attend basketball camp at two prestigious North Carolina college campuses. The all-expenses-paid scholarships, sponsored by North Carolina’s 26 Touchstone Energy cooperatives, provide funding for more than 50 middle-school students across the state. Young women can apply to attend the Wolfpack Basketball Camp at North Carolina State University, and young men can apply for the Carolina Basketball Camp at the University of North Carolina.

Eligibility:

• Students must be enrolled in the fifth or sixth grade at any qualifying North Carolina school.
• Applicants’ schools must be located within EnergyUnited’s service area.

Criteria:

• Original and accurately written essay: 50% criteria
• Scholastic and extracurricular activities: 40% criteria
• Short-answer question: 10% criteria

Meet Our 2023 Winners!

Mary Bill (left) and Harris Patterson (right) have received a Touchstone Energy Sports Camp Scholarship from EnergyUnited.
Mary attended the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp this June in Raleigh and Harris attended the Carolina Basketball Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill.
