ENERGYUNITED FOUNDATION DONATES $218,000 TO NONPROFITS, INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN Q3

 $512,851.82 awarded January through September 2025

STATESVILLE, N.C. – The EnergyUnited Foundation donated $218,000 in the third quarter to nonprofits, individuals and families to meet grave needs in communities across the EnergyUnited service area.

From July through September, the Foundation approved grants for seven nonprofit organizations, 55 individuals and 24 energy assistance applications—each representing a story of hope and stability for neighbors in need.

Nonprofit recipients included Healing Vine Harbor, Just HOPE, The Kindness Closet, Affordable Housing for the Carolinas, Lotus Campaign, Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry and Hearts United for Good. These organizations offer critical community assistance and serve as important partners supporting EnergyUnited’s vision of a brighter future.

The cooperative’s efforts to deliver critical resources for communities is supported by the EnergyUnited Foundation and the Operation Round-Up program.

“If you are an EnergyUnited member participating in our Operation Round-Up program, you are changing the direction of someone’s life,” said LaQuisha Parks, vice president of energy services and corporate communications for EnergyUnited. “Every dollar becomes a warm home, a hot meal or a second chance.”

The EnergyUnited Foundation is a voluntary, member-funded nonprofit organization supported by EnergyUnited’s Operation Round-Up program. More than 83,000 EnergyUnited members participate in the program by rounding up their electric bills each month. The maximum monthly contribution for an individual member with one account is 99 cents. These small contributions are pooled into a single fund managed by the Foundation to support needy individuals, families and essential nonprofit organizations that submit applications requesting assistance for grave needs for housing, utilities and humane needs.
