ENERGYUNITED ANNOUNCES 2026 JUNIOR MEMBER AMBASSADORS

STATESVILLE, N.C. – EnergyUnited is proud to announce its 2026 Junior Member Ambassadors, recognizing three outstanding students for their leadership, dedication and commitment to serving their communities.

As part of the Junior Member Ambassador program, EnergyUnited selects students to serve as Youth Tour delegates and as members of the Junior Member Advisory Committee (MAC).

Evva Fordham and Sydney Rucker were selected to represent EnergyUnited at the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in June and will also serve as Junior MAC members. The nationally recognized Youth Tour program provides students with the opportunity to engage with congressional leaders in Washington, D.C., explore careers in public service and gain a deeper understanding of the cooperative business model.

“Being selected for the Youth Tour and Junior Member Advisory Committee means a lot to me because it gives me the chance to learn, serve my community and meet other motivated students,” said Sydney Rucker, Youth Tour delegate. “I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to see how I can make a difference.”

In addition to the two Youth Tour delegates, EnergyUnited also selected Patience Darnell of Lexington to serve as a Junior MAC member. Junior MAC members participate in Member Advisory Committee meetings to provide feedback on cooperative programs and initiatives.

“Being accepted as an EnergyUnited Student Ambassador is an exciting honor and an amazing opportunity,” said Patience Darnell, Junior MAC member. “I’m grateful for the chance to learn, grow and represent an organization that truly invests in its community and future leaders.”

“We are excited to invest in these students and provide experiences that encourage leadership and community involvement,” said LaQuisha Parks, vice president of energy services and corporate communications. “The Junior Member Ambassador Program is one of the most meaningful ways we can empower young leaders, and we look forward to seeing the impact these students will make.”

EnergyUnited remains committed to fostering future leaders by offering educational and leadership opportunities for students in its service area. For more information on EnergyUnited’s youth programs, visit www.energyunited.com.
