Since 1996, the EnergyUnited Foundation has been supporting households and nonprofit organizations across our service area — and it’s all thanks to the generosity of our members who round up their monthly bills as part of Operation Round-Up.
Funds donated by EnergyUnited Electric Membership Corporation members are awarded by EnergyUnited Foundation’s Board to individuals and households who are suffering unusual and/or unexpected problems and are in grave need of assistance. Grants may be used to pay for shelter, utilities, emergencies, and other humane needs.
In 2025, we reached a major milestone of giving: $10 million in total charitable donation since the Foundation’s inception. We are so grateful to all the members who enrolled in Operation Round-Up to make this possible.
Please note: To receive assistance from the EnergyUnited Foundation, you do not have to receive electric power from EnergyUnited, but you must reside within EnergyUnited’s electric service area.

Operation Round-Up is a powerful way for EnergyUnited members to help others in their community by rounding up their monthly bills. The EnergyUnited Foundation is funded entirely by the generosity of members who give through our Round-Up program. Donations can be as little as a penny or as much as 99 cents, which may not seem like much, but these small amounts add up quickly, making for a greater impact on the lives of other community members in need.
