THE ENERGYUNITED FOUNDATION DONATES $10,000 TO FAMILY PROMISE OF DAVIE COUNTY

STATESVILLE, N.C. – The EnergyUnited Foundation recently donated $10,000 to Family Promise of Davie County to support the organization’s Family Shelter Program.

Family promise serves families with minor children who are at-risk of or already experiencing homelessness. Families in the organization’s shelter are given physical day and night shelter, access to necessities (laundry, bathroom and kitchen), as well as food and transportation assistance.

“The EnergyUnited Foundation is committed to serving the community, said Debra Citta, program coordinator for The EnergyUnited Foundation. “We are proud to support Family Promise of Davie County with this donation, which will provide essential support to help families get back on their feet.”

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of The EnergyUnited Foundation and their commitment to helping those in need within our community,” said Lisa Reynolds, executive director of Family Promise of Davie County. “This grant will allow us to continue providing critical services to families experiencing homelessness, so we are incredibly thankful to receive this donation.”

The EnergyUnited Foundation is a voluntary, member-funded non-profit organization supported by EnergyUnited’s Operation Round-Up program. More than 90,000 EnergyUnited members choose to participate in the program by ‘rounding up’ their electric bills each month. The maximum monthly contribution for an individual member with one account is 99 cents. Each of these small contributions are pooled together in a single fund managed by the EnergyUnited Foundation to support needy individuals, families, and essential nonprofit organizations that complete an application explaining the reason and purpose for their requested grant.
