ENERGYUNITED ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF ANN ELLER AND APPOINTMENT OF LISA PULLIS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

STATESVILLE, N.C. – EnergyUnited announced changes to the cooperative’s Board of Directors today. The cooperative is recognizing the career of longtime board member Ann Eller, who is retiring after more than 35 years of service to cooperative members. Eller represented EnergyUnited members in the EnergyUnited District 1 area. 

Eller’s service to cooperative members began in 1988 as a member of the Crescent EMC Board of Directors. Following Crescent’s merger with Davidson EMC, Eller continued serving as a member of EnergyUnited’s Board of Directors. During her career, Eller was recognized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) for her continued commitment as a director. She served on numerous committees and also served as secretary of EnergyUnited’s Board of Directors.  

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Ann for more than three decades of dedicated service to cooperative members,” said Thomas Golden, chief executive officer of EnergyUnited. “She is a true trailblazer, and her passion for serving the community has made an incredible impact on our cooperative.” 

Following news of Eller’s retirement, the board executive committee began an extensive process to consider potential candidates to fill the vacant seat. At the end of this process, the cooperative appointed Lisa Pullis to the EnergyUnited Board of Directors. She will fill the vacancy left by Eller in the EnergyUnited District 1 area.

Pullis is the assistant director at the Iredell County Partnership for Young Children in Statesville, NC. She has worked in the early childhood field for over 26 years and is also a co-owner and educational consultant with Bailey, Pullis & Riggins LLC. 

Pullis currently serves as the co-president of the North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children Board of Directors, ICARE-Headstart Board of Directors, Iredell County Partnership for Young Children Board of Directors, North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten Board of Directors, and many other committees and boards. She also served on the EnergyUnited Member Advisory Committee and has been an EnergyUnited member since 2010.
