Since 1996, the EnergyUnited Foundation has been supporting households and nonprofit organizations across our service area — and it’s all thanks to the generosity of our members who round up their monthly bills as part of Operation Round-Up.
Funds donated by EnergyUnited Electric Membership Corporation members are awarded by EnergyUnited Foundation’s Board to individuals and households who are suffering unusual and/or unexpected problems and are in grave need of assistance. Grants may be used to pay for shelter, utilities, emergencies, and other humane needs. Grants may also be provided to non-profits serving these same essential needs.
At this time, the EnergyUnited Foundation is temporarily pausing the acceptance of new grant applications for individuals and households while we complete internal financial and process updates. In addition, new applications from nonprofit organizations will not be accepted for the remainder of this year.
Please note that grants already approved will continue to be processed and are not affected by this temporary pause.
This step allows us to ensure our processes and funding levels are aligned with Foundation requirements so we can continue serving our communities responsibly and effectively. We expect to resume accepting individual and household applications in the coming months and will provide updates as they become available.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support of the EnergyUnited Foundation’s mission.
OperationRound-Up
Operation Round-Up is a powerful way for EnergyUnited members to help others in their community by rounding up their monthly bills. The EnergyUnited Foundation is funded entirely by the generosity of members who give through our Round-Up program. Donations can be as little as a penny or as much as 99 cents, which may not seem like much, but these small amounts add up quickly, making for a greater impact on the lives of other community members in need.
