EnergyUnited Chief Strategy Officer Appointed to Strategic Technology Advisory Council

Thomas Golden, chief strategy officer and vice president of energy services for EnergyUnited, has been appointed to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) Strategic Technology Advisory Council (STAC).

In pursuit of meeting the technology interests and needs of electric co-op members, NRECA’s Business and Technology Services (BTS) division is supported by member Advisors participating through the Strategic Technology Advisory Council and the Membership Advisory Groups (MAGs). These Groups, comprised of nearly 100 co-op members, provide necessary guidance and expertise to assist the Cooperative Research Network in identifying key challenges for co-ops and in seeking meaningful technology insights to benefit members.

The Strategic Technology Advisory Council (STAC) consists of senior leadership from electric cooperatives around the country and provides critical strategic guidance and recommendations regarding BTS’ research efforts. Membership participation is essential to the success of NRECA in addressing the most important technology needs of co-ops today. Governance of BTS rests with the NRECA Board of Directors with input from the STAC.

The STAC is composed of 25 voting members and one non-voting member – the EVP, serving as Vice Chair. The Chair and 24 STAC members make up the 25 voting members. No aggregating entity may have more than two voting members on the STAC.
