Hear from the people behind our power

Mike

Mike has been an EnergyUnited employee for 29 years; first as a Lineman for five years, a Crew Leader for 18 years and a Senior Crew Leader for the last six years. When asked what kept him working at EnergyUnited through the years, he enjoys being out in the field with our members to ensure their needs and expectations are met. “I’m blessed to have coworkers that are also my friends.” From a technical perspective, Mike and his team are also provided with the equipment and tools needed to finish the job properly. “Working for EnergyUnited isn’t just a job– it’s a lifestyle and career that I’m proud to be a part of.”

Arturo

Arturo has been a Distribution Design Manager for EnergyUnited for the last three years, working with designers and overseeing our Overhead and Underground contractors. During a typical workday, he spends time reviewing and approving his teams’ designs for larger projects. “I truly enjoy teaching others as much as I do learning from my team. We are continuously working on ways to expedite processes from the moment our members call in for service to the time they get power,” says Arturo. To do this, we hold meetings regularly with different departments to identify areas for improvement. Being a member since 2001, Arturo continues to be impressed by EnergyUnited’s commitment to giving back to the community and keeping our members as a top priority. “It’s rewarding to know I am now a part of this team.”

Karla

Karla has been with EnergyUnited for six years as an Electrical Engineer. Her primary responsibilities include CEMI analysis, sectionalizing, net metering, substation reports, project management and equipment specifications and recommendations. She loves working at EU because she’s never bored. There’s no such thing as a typical day for her. On any given day she could be running outage mitigation investigations, overseeing transmission line projects on site, meeting with vendors or communicating with members regarding any number of topics. She admires her co-workers and learns a lot from them. She sees the positive reputation of the co-op among members and takes pride in being part of the positive impact EU has on its communities.
