ENERGYUNITED COMPLETES RESTORATION EFFORT AFTER SEVERE IMPACTS OF TROPICAL STORM ZETA

 

STATESVILLE, N.C. – More than 350 field personnel from EnergyUnited, 25 electric cooperatives and contractors who provided mutual aid have restored power for all EnergyUnited members who experienced outages due to Tropical Storm Zeta. At the peak of the storm, more than 44,000 EnergyUnited members were without power.

We are thankful for the patience, understanding and kind words from EnergyUnited members as crews worked tirelessly to restore power as safely and quickly as possible. We also thank all cooperative and contractor crews who provided essential assistance during our recovery efforts.

EnergyUnited received assistance from the following cooperatives and contractors: Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (VA), Brunswick EMC (NC), Powell Valley Electric Cooperative (TN), Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative (VA), Wake EMC (NC), South River EMC (NC), Pitt & Green EMC (NC), Randolph EMC (NC), Edgecombe Martin EMC (NC), Jones Onslow EMC (NC), Tideland EMC (NC), Carteret-Craven EMC (NC), Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative (OH), North Central Electric Cooperative (OH), Union Power (NC), Pioneer Electric Cooperative (OH), Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives (OH), Midwest Electric (OH), Harrison Rural Electric Association (OH), Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative (OH), Logan County Electric Cooperative (OH), Consolidated Cooperative (OH), Carroll Electric Cooperative (OH), Butler Rural Electric Cooperative (OH), Four County EMC (NC), Utility Lines Construction Services (PA), Pike Electric (NC), Lee Electric Construction (NC), C-Phase (NC) and Asplundh (NC).

Thanks also to the many first responders and other community members who helped make it possible for us to repair the downed lines and broken poles and to those who will continue to help as clean-up work is completed.
