REVISED RATES EFFECTIVE JUNE 1

This spring, EnergyUnited completed a cost-of-service study to ensure the cooperative’s rates are fair and equitable for all members. Based on the findings from this study, EnergyUnited will be implementing a revised rate schedule, effective June 1, 2024.

The majority of our residential members will notice a $3 increase in the basic facilities charge. Some residential members who have a three-phase service will see a proportionate percentage increase in the basic facilities charge as well.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, our primary focus is to ensure that you have access to safe, reliable, and sustainable energy at the lowest possible cost. Every time we increase our costs, we know that it has an impact on our members. We want to assure our members that EnergyUnited is only increasing costs to what is necessary to run our business.

Inflation is a major topic of discussion and EnergyUnited is not immune from price increases. As an example, large power transformer costs have tripled over the last several years. However, we will continue to challenge our vendors, partners and employees to save money any way that we can.

We care about our members, and we will focus on these challenges together as a cooperative. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these challenges while maintaining our commitment to delivering the safe, reliable energy you expect every day.
